Kerry is a licensed therapist with a private practice in Madison, CT. She has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families as a clinician. She has facilitated groups, workshops and trainings on parenting topics, personal development and teenage issues. Blending her extensive clinical training with modern, holistic wellness practices, Kerry offers an approach that connects the mind and body while remaining rooted in day-to-day practicality. She holds a BA in Psychology from Hartwick College and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health from the University of Hartford. Kerry's comprehensive clinical background has included many modalities of treatment and comes from a foundation of examining how mental and physical health integrate. She has trained in traditional modalities such as Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Transformational Breathwork and Energy Medicine. Kerry's career path has led her to interact with a diverse range of clients from managing a group home for adults with developmental disabilities, to being an administrator and clinician in a college preparatory therapeutic boarding school to seeing couples who need a "tune up" in their marriage in her private practice. Kerry has also worked as a research assistant and a clinical intern at Yale University and the Yale Child Study Center. She has pursued postgraduate studies in Health Policy and Law throughout Europe and at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland and she has completed a certification in Public Health through John Hopkins School of Public Health. Kerry served as a consultant for the Town of Madison's Selectmen Council on Youth Substance Abuse and has been a popular speaker for a number of town events related to mental health. Kerry has facilitated groups and trainings for many local schools including the Hopkins School, The Country School and Jeffrey School. A wife and mother of 4 active boys, Kerry understands the challenges of parenting, nurturing a marriage, balancing obligations and fun and finding time for self-care. Her style is grounded and relatable as she aims to demystify the process of therapy and help people to navigate their way to a better quality of life. |
