May 30th at 7:00 pm at the First Congregational Church in Madison
Many of us find that days and months go by without thought of how or why we are doing the things that we do. Self-reflection comes in reaction to our “distress” instead of as a guide to developing a purposeful life. As a result, we find ourselves unsure of our direction and unfulfilled by our choices. Kerry Graham Shay, MA LPC works with groups and individuals to help them develop skills and integrate tools to be active, thoughtful participants in their lives. Her strategies are supported by science and informed by an understanding of the mind and body connection.
Kerry will present “Creating a Life Full of Meaning” at this month’s Happiness Club. She will use examples from her own personal and professional work to emphasize the importance of increasing our self-awareness to nurture a conscious and meaningful life. She will focus on the connection between our heart and our brain in guiding this journey and the impact that our psychology has on our biology.
Blending her extensive clinical training with modern, holistic wellness practices, Kerry offers an approach that connects scientifically-based research while remaining rooted in day-to-day practicality. Her relatable style makes these tools accessible to anyone- from those who feel too busy to add new practices to those who have been mastering self care and reflection for years. She runs Mindfulness groups locally, is a clinician at the Grove School and meets with adolescents, adults and couples in her private practice.
